The annual Chalk Art Festival shines the spotlight on the needs of Utah children in foster care and the contributions of our state’s dedicated foster families. Each year, some twenty-thousand people turn out to see 125 artists paint the streets and raise funds that benefit these deserving children and families.
Utah Foster Care Foundation presents the two-day community art event free to the public. Foster parents and Foundation employees staff several information tables along the gallery of chalk art murals — including the popular Kids Corner at the south end of Rio Grande Street. The KSL Family Fair joins with us on Saturday to provide lots of family-centered activities and entertainment.
The Foundation is a nonprofit organization that finds, trains, and supports Utah families who open their homes and hearts to children who have been neglected or abused. Interested in foster parenting? Get all the details at utahfostercare.org.
The Chalk Art Festival gives artists of all ages the opportunity to explore and create their dreams on pavement — whether those dreams are for fame, fortune… or a family. The festival is an opportune time to learn about ways you can help Utah Foster Care Foundation and the more than 2800 Utah children in foster care.
